About

Comcell Community Telephone has connected North Texas homes and businesses since 1948, when V.N. (Red) Sears purchased the local franchise from Holmes Telephone Company of Wichita Falls. Based in Windthorst and led today by the Humpert family, the company opened a Bowie office at 220 W. Wise St to serve Montague County customers directly. Comcell — the internet subsidiary — expanded wireless internet service to Bowie, Bellevue, and the Lake Amon Carter area in 2016 and began building fiber-to-the-home infrastructure in Bowie in 2017. Services include residential and business fiber internet, wireless internet, and landline voice — with no contracts, no data caps, and 24/7 tech support. The Bowie office is open Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
