About
KNTX (1410 AM / 97.3 FM) has served Bowie and Montague County since May 29, 1959, when it signed on as KBAN. Henderson Broadcasting Company, LP — led by Charley Henderson — acquired the station in March 2003, updated its format to classic hits from the Beatles through the 1990s, and rebranded to the KNTX call sign. The FM 97.3 translator (K247CW) was added in 2020 as 104.3 FM and moved to 97.3 in October 2022. The daily Trade Fair program (weekdays 9-10am) is a community buy-sell-swap staple. Studio at 7704 FM 1758, Bowie. FCC license expires 2029.
