MoCo Creative Arts has built a Renaissance court inside Freedom Life Church in Bowie — and they're letting you eat in it while a story of ambition and betrayal collapses around your table.
Ruin at the Renaissance Banquet is immersive dinner theatre. Ten round tables, eight seats each, eighty people per showing. You don't watch the play from a row of folding chairs — you're seated at the feast. The actors move table to table. The intrigue happens at your elbow. By the time the meal is done, someone is finished, and you'll have had a closer view of how they got there than any of the courtiers around them.
Three showings only:
- Friday, May 29 · 6:30 PM
- Saturday, May 30 · 12:00 PM (matinee)
- Saturday, May 30 · 6:30 PM
$25 a seat. Full table buyouts are available if you want to bring seven friends and own a corner of the court for the night — a fit for a birthday, a milestone, or any group outing that needs to be more interesting than dinner-and-a-movie.
Venue: Freedom Life Church · 204 Theater Dr · Bowie, TX 76230. (Yes, Theater Drive. The address writes the lede for itself.)
Produced by MoCo Creative Arts (formerly BAEA) — a Montague County 501(c)(3) putting serious local theatre on its feet. Reserve seats or buy out a table at mococreativearts.com, or message MoCo Creative Arts on Facebook.
